BCST For Little Ones

Clara has had the great privilege of supporting infants, babies and children with many of the typical challenges that can arise in the early years such as sleep issues, colic, breastfeeding issues, surgical interventions, behavioral issues, attachment, allergies, torticollis, plagiocephaly, as well as more challenging issues such as ADD, DD, autism, cerebral palsy, neurological diseases, traumatic injuries, chronic infections and cancer. BCST is well known for its gentle approach in working with infants and children around these issues.

The journey through the birth canal as well as cesarean birth can cause compressions and imbalances through the cranial bones, spine, and pelvis of a newborn that can translate to issues that affect sleep patterns, breastfeeding, digestive issues, reflux, irritability and development. Later in life these unresolved forces can contribute to issues such low back pain, migraines, TMD. BCST can help little ones during transitions from crawling to walking, to a new addition to the family or challenges in school. It is very useful in integration of the little ones system towards more balance and regulation and helps their arrival into this world to be easeful, and that translates to more easeful for parents too!!!

Little ones who experienced a difficult birth (and parents too!) may re-pattern how the birth unfolded during session work in a paced, slower transition that can ease nervous system activation and resolve compressive forces, interventions from delivery, and attachment challenges. Babies who were born before term benefit greatly from this work. Clara helps parents settle with little one and develop skills, confidence and trust in supporting their intuition in meeting their child’s needs.

Toddlers and older children may play, move and interact during session work. They look forward to coming back for more sessions and typically ask their parents when they feel they need a session!
